A Northern Wisconsin Family Resort Tradition since 1964
The Four Seasons story began on family land near Cable, Wisconsin, first settled by the family in the late 1890s.
In 1963, Gene and Faye Staudemeyer, along with Faye’s father, John Junek Sr., began building what would become Four Seasons Resort. They cleared the land, cut trees for the lodge logs and gathered stone for the fireplace themselves. In 1964, the original Northwoods lodge opened with a small restaurant and bar.
Over the decades, the resort grew to include cottages, vacation homes and lodge rooms while maintaining its Northwoods character. Gene and Faye’s son, Gary, continued the family tradition, adding his own personal touches throughout the property.
Following Gary’s passing in 2007, his daughter Amanda took over Four Seasons, continuing the family business as its third generation. Her husband, Brandon, later joined her in carrying on the Four Seasons tradition.
More than 60 years after opening, Four Seasons remains family owned and operated, with Amanda and Brandon welcoming guests to Lake Namakagon with the same friendly hospitality that has been part of the resort for generations.
